ALWAYS USE THE CONTROLS
Don’t push your shutters up from the bottom slat unless they are spring assisted. Always use your internal control (manual or electric) to raise and lower them. (Let your painter, window cleaner or other tradesman know this too.)

PREVENT STRETCHING:
If you want to leave your shutters in the ventilated position while locked, leave the bottom two slats closed to prevent stretching of the shutter.

CLEANING: A regular hose down, wipe with a cloth or brush down with a soft broom or brush or hand broom and non abrasive detergent is usually all that is needed. To keep the inside surface clean, regularly use a feather duster with an extendable handle to reach between the glass and the shutter from inside.
